I'm a pretty cautious person on the web and that's why I enable 2-factor authentication whenever I can. But I would like to have Google authenticator PC.
If like me you use Google Authenticator and you change your phone or worse you broke or lost your phone... Well you are in trouble because there is no way to backup or recover your Google Authenticator Tokens...
I've had an iPhone stolen and it was a real pain to get the tokens back...
That's it, I've broken your dreams and your morale but I've found an alternative solution that's really 1000 times better than the damn Google Authenticator.
Authy the google authenticator pc
It is about AuthyAvailable on iOS, android, Mac and PC (windows and linux)!
The beauty of this is that you can have several devices capable of giving you the famous token.
For example, I have it on the PC and on 2 phones so at least I'm safe!
Another great thing is that you can transfer your tokens from one phone to another with a password which will allow you to decrypt your token on the new phone!
So no more hassle of having to reset your token at the slightest change of phone because authy will allow you to have them on several devices and even new ones!
Anyway, I'm glad I found this solution and hope to help some of you!
